The Olweus approach attempts to change the culture of a school by making sure everyone knows bullying will not be tolerated.* Israel 'Izzy' Kalman is a school psychologist, author, and one of the only critics of the modern anti-bullying - or bullying prevention - movement. With 40 years experience as a school psychologist, Kalman says the modern bullying prevention movement is failing. He says it's failing because it is a political movement - not a practical one. Kalman says, because 'everybody thinks the bully is somebody else,' nothing changes.
